STUDIO MONITOR (ACTIVE) The S3V builds on the successes of ADAM Audio's most popular studio monitors, the S3A and S3X-V, and, like its predecessors, sets new standards in terms of technical innovation and design.

The bass frequencies from 32 Hz to 250 Hz are driven by the 9-inch LF driver with ADAM Audio's completely new Extended Linear Excursion (ELE) technology, which incorporates the company's equally innovative Magnet Assembly (SMA) symmetry and It offers extremely accurate and powerful bass that easily extend down into the sub-bass region. The mid-range and HF information is reproduced with the same analytical precision thanks to the combination of the new mid-range 4-inch DCH controller from ADAM Audio and the highly refined S-ART folded ribbon HF driver. Together with the new HPS waveguide, the latter offers high-frequency reproduction with an extremely wide sweet spot with fine and very detailed images and a natural sense of depth.

The customized DSP of the S series optimizes cutting frequencies to create linear responses throughout the range, and allows user equalization and adjustment / emission functions of the control room. A unique feature of the S3V DSP options is a built-in EQ preset that emulates the response of the legendary ADAM Audio S3A monitor. The DSP also manages the protection of the treble based on limiters, AES3 digital inputs and, over time, facilitates several expansion options. Software updates can be easily performed through the associated USB port, which also allows users to connect computers and control the DSP functions of the speakers through front-end software.

With its powerful amplification and three-way design (optimally configured for horizontal use), the S3V was conceived as a center-field monitor, but can be used equally well in more compact listening environments. As with all ADAM audio designs, the sound is penetrating but musical, with a crystalline reproduction of the most important of the mid-range.

The built-in amplification of the S3V is generously specified, including Class D units for the bass and midrange speakers (500 W and 300 W RMS, respectively) and a 50 W class A / B amplifier for the S-ART tweeter.
