MICPAT-4 is a robust active multi-zone warning microphone. It has a flexo and a high-quality electret directional microphone capsule. The design of this capsule drastically reduces the risk of acoustic feedback. With MICPAT-4 it is possible to make warnings to a maximum of four zones simultaneously. It has been specifically designed to be used with the ZONE 4 preamplifier and future models. It is possible to connect multiple MICPAT-4 microphones in parallel, using the optional RJ45SPLIT splitter. Operating this microphone is very simple: you only have to select the zones on which you wish to make the warning by pressing buttons 1 to 4. It is possible to select all zones at once by pressing the ALL button. The call button is momentary: press to speak. The rest of the buttons are interlocked. While the announcement is being made, the indicator LED is lit in orange, and the rest of the microphones connected in parallel will be temporarily disabled (busy). In a multi-microphone configuration, the MICPAT-4 will automatically detect if any other microphone is being used. This is indicated by the orange LED. When the use of that microphone ends, the LED turns green again. A standard CAT5 cable provides connection to the ZONE4 preamplifier of Apart and future models. The maximum recommended cable length is 100 meters. Please note that MICPAT4 can not be connected to a PC and is not compatible with the network. MICPAT4 and ZONE4 are installed very easily, in plug-and-play mode, and have a highly intuitive use. Like the other Apart products, they have been designed with the installer in mind.
