Now introduced in the new Chrome Edition format, Qu-16 redefines digital mixing by combining innovative design and exceptional functionality to deliver an excellent professional mix. Equipped with all the features that can be expected in a high-end digital console, and incorporating technologies already incorporated in the GLD and iLive digital mixing systems, Qu-16 offers all the power and quality to offer the best performance that can be found in mixers. from his class. New features include Automatic Microphone Mixer and Spectrogram to eliminate acoustic feedback, as well as new and updated metal finish controls. Qu-16's 16 full-recall AnalogiQ preamps offer zero-crossing detection and an advanced padless, 1 dB step gain stage, closely linked to the DSP for optimal gain precision and maximum audio transparency. Audio. The analog signal is captured by low-latency analog/digital converters with 24-bit resolution, combined with high-quality digital/analog converters, also with 24-bit resolution, to provide the appropriate output. The AnalogiQTM design has been refined after many months of work to offer maximum transparency, minimum distortion and an extremely low noise floor, with a warm, musical sound that most digital consoles lack. The 800 x 480, 16 million color touchscreen display and data encoder form the heart of the Qu-16's interface, providing super-fast and easy access to all settings. The user interface has been designed to offer maximum clarity. Dedicated keys and on-screen tabs quickly guide the user to RTA displays, FX racks, channel processing, USB audio control, scenes, setup menus and more. All key processing tools are clearly presented on the SuperStrip, with a function for each physical control. The SuperStrip is complemented by a Touch Channel presented on the screen, which offers intuitive access to all processing parameters, without the need to navigate through complex menu structures. Processing for mono and stereo inputs includes Trim, Polarity, HPF, Gate, Insert, 4-band PEQ, Compressor and Delay. The LR main mix and mono mixes feature insert, 1/3 octave GEQ, compressor and delay. Stereo mixes feature insert, 4-band PEQ, compressor, delay and balance control. Qu-16 features a built-in multitrack USB recorder, providing 18 channels of direct recording and playback to/from USB at 24-bit, 48 kHz resolution. A selected stereo pair can be recorded alongside the 16 mono channels, and multitrack audio can be played back to the 16 mono channels in addition to ST1.Qu-Drive also provides stereo recording, which can be taken from either pair of Mix outputs, the main LR output (pro, post or summed to mono) or even the PAFL bus, with stereo playback over ST3. Qu-16 incorporates 17 motorized ALPS faders, 16 of them distributed in 2 layers, allowing instant access to all channels and masters in a compact space, in addition to a master fader that dynamically follows the mixing section. A third custom layer is available, allowing the user to create their own combination of inputs, FX sends, FX returns and mix masters. The dynamics and FX processors that Qu-16 incorporates come from those used in the iLive series. Some of the world's most respected audio engineers have chosen to use iLive FX on their tours. Qu-16 features 4 iLive stereo FX engines, offering legendary emulations of classic reverbs, gated reverbs, delays, modulators, flangers and much more. The FX are returned to the mix through specific return channels, so it is not necessary to use mono or stereo channels for this purpose. Each stereo FX return has its own four-band PEQ. Qu-16 can store up to 100 complete scenes that can be recalled at will. Channels and mixes can be preserved against scene recovery. The Automatic Microphone Mixer (AMM) is vital in applications such as conferences, meetings, etc., where several microphones are open simultaneously, reducing background noise and minimizing the risk of acoustic feedback. The Automatic Microphone Mixer helps the engineer manage the levels of multiple microphone inputs, ensuring that all speeches are heard properly. The D-Classic dynamic gain sharing algorithm is inspired by industry standard automatic mixers. Up to 16 microphone sources can be mixed simultaneously, with priority adjustment on each channel, which determines the 'weight' in the total gain of the system. The Qu-16's built-in interface streams up to 24 selectable tracks to a Mac or PC computer. The return from the computer can be easily assigned to the input channels. The interface is compatible with Mac OS X. It will also be immediately recognized by any DAW that supports Core Audio, including Logic, Cubase, Reaper and Pro Tools. An ASIO and WDM compatible driver for Windows computers is also available. Standard MIDI control is tunneled over a USB connection, allowing faders to be easily mapped to tracks in any DAW. A DAW control driver is available to easily configure and emulate HUI or Mackie control protocols on Mac OS X systems. Qu-16 is equipped with 5 high-efficiency ARM processing cores, with dedicated ARM processing cores for the touch screen and control surface, USB streaming, USB multi-channel recording/playback, Ethernet and fader automation. Additionally, ARM cores provide advanced processing, working in parallel to provide maximum power and instant response. The mixer has the most recent generation of DSP, with 10 DSP cores, 8 of which are dedicated exclusively to channel processing and mixes. The Qu-16's DSP architecture uses various bit depths, optimized for specific algorithms, with 48 bits in the critical EQ functions and a 56-bit accumulator on the mix bus. This sturdy console is constructed from 18-gauge Zintec steel, and is extremely quiet, making it suitable for studio use. The console can work with the Qu-Pad mixing app, the Qu-you personal mixing app and the ME personal mixing system.
