The ZED-6 was created with musicians, singers, songwriters, and small venues in mind, offering the enhanced audio quality and build quality of Allen & Heath in a compact and portable format. Incorporating the new GSPre preamps, developed from the revered GS-R24 studio console, the ZED mixer boasts exceptionally low noise and a very high dynamic range, delivering a warm and deep analog sound. Guitarists will particularly appreciate the ZED-6's two high-impedance guitar DI inputs, which allow guitars to be plugged directly into the mixer without the need for expensive external DI boxes. All ZED mixers are designed and built to meet Allen & Heath's high standards, ensuring their products can withstand the rigors of touring. All channels are housed on individual printed circuit boards, mounted vertically, and all rotary controls are secured to the front panel by means of a steel nut, in order to protect them from possible impact damage.
