Boundary Condenser Microphone The M55 ceiling-drop microphone system is designed for applications where aesthetics, sound quality, and ease of installation are critical. Primary applications for the ceiling-mounted M55 include audio pickup for video and presentations or teleconferencing (VTC), distance learning, hospital wards, surveillance, and ambient miking.

The M55 conference microphone can be equipped with interchangeable capsules with cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional, and supercardioid (shotgun) coverage patterns. High sensitivity and low noise. Shielded against RF interference caused by cell phones and mobile devices.

Installing the M55 pendant microphone requires drilling just a 5/8-inch hole in the ceiling, with no additional tools required. The M55's mounting hardware allows for easy hanging height adjustment up to four feet from the ceiling surface without removing the ceiling tiles. An optional orientation clip (MCHANGER) allows for easy angular adjustments once installed. The cable assembly, with a determinant block connector, is neatly housed in a fire-tight, watertight junction box. A safety cable provides additional seismic restraint.

The M55 is produced in white with a 4 ft. cable terminated in a block mounted connector.
