SPEAKER 18 "LEX1600 / Nd 8 OH
Standard steel gobo Shell Breakup
At Beyma we face the problem of heat dissipation with one clear goal in mind: the loudspeaker must deliver the best performance in the system in a consistent and reliable manner, maximizing total SPL and keeping it stable.
It is well known that the overall SPL of a system suffers a drop after some time working due to the effect of power compression. It is also known that normally the larger the diameter of the voice coil, the lower the power compression and the greater the power capacity, but it also means larger motor structures to obtain a high level of transducer output.
The Maltcross cooling technology that we offer to the professional audio market through our loudspeakers, combines several solutions to meet our objective; On the one hand, it allows the loudspeaker to handle higher powers with a given coil diameter, so we can think of designs with smaller diameter coils and therefore smaller motor structures, reducing weight but increasing sensitivity and maintaining handling. of power suitable for a given target application, maintaining a total output SPL level that can be equivalent to a loudspeaker with a larger motor structure.
Maltcross technology is a forced convection circuit inside the heart of the loudspeaker that allows to reduce the working temperature of the voice coil and also acts as a demodulator ring, linearizing the inductance of the transducer.
