This problem is already overcome... Here is the St. James series! The world's lightest 50-watt tube guitar amps. Thanks to hundreds of hours of study with the most famous reference amplifiers, we have been able to design the new St. James. Thanks to the tonal differences between the EL34 and 6L6 power tubes, the St. Jameses deliver all-round performance in any situation. James EL34 is the classic sounding amp that combines typical British crunch with an American clean sound. The 6L6 tube version has the same headroom for clean sounds and is paired with Blackstar's higher gain overdrive circuit.
