A jack of all trades and master of them all, the xtSA's incredible power and range of sound starts with three distinct voices: electric guitar, acoustic guitar and synthesizer. The xtSA delivers big-time electric sounds through the Godin single coil pickup and humbuckers. 5-position selector that allows the warm sounds of the humbuckers to coexist with the crystalline sounds of the split coils in the second and fourth positions. Turn down the volume of the electric output and turn up the saddles on the LR Baggs transducer, and the xtSA becomes an incredibly authentic-sounding "acoustic" guitar. The xtSA's acoustic voice is enhanced by a built-in preamplifier with a three-band graphic equalizer. The two outputs are configured so that electric and acoustic vocals can be combined, along with the xtSA's synth access. As with all Godin synthesizer-enabled instruments, an integrated 13-pin connector provides direct access to all Roland™ GR-series synthesizers, as well as most other 13-pin devices. This entire palette of sounds would be much less interesting if the guitar didn't seduce us, but the xtSA does, thanks to the 25½” scale and mahogany neck used on the flagship Godin LGX-SA guitar. The Richlite® fingerboard is shaped and uses Godin's ergocut technique and is equipped with medium jumbo frets. The body is made with a maple center with poplar wings and is finished with a premium quality flamed maple veneer.
