The classic 1032 is now reissued as a SAM monitor, which also offers greater SPL capacity. 1032C is a compact, high-SPL two-way nearfield monitor that fuses the classic styling of the iconic 1000 series with the most advanced technology developed by Genelec. Maintaining the same transducers and the appreciated sonic characteristics of the previous version, the 1032C has been updated with the most advanced SAM technology. Digital I/O, universal power supply and powerful class D amplification have also been incorporated, enabling the 1032C to deliver even higher SPL levels and greater bass response compared to its already powerful predecessors. Previous versions of the 1032 offered DIP switches located on its rear panel that allowed adjustments to its response, a task that must be performed whenever the reference monitor is placed in a room. The 1032C still features these DIP switches, but has also been given the option to customize that response more precisely using Genelec's advanced GLM software, which runs on Mac or PC computers. GLM also adds the ability to configure monitoring systems of any size, using a wide variety of SAM monitors, and allowing you to mute, solo or switch between monitors. As a next-generation SAM device, the 1032C also includes features such as delay alignment, video compensation delay and level calibration, as well as input signal detection that activates automatic power saving mode ( ISS).
