The new 8010 monitor is the smallest member of the Genelec 8000 Series. This series is widely used in broadcast, recording and post production studios around the world, and its high professional level is fully reflected in the small and compact model 8010. Suitable for professional use in small studios, it offers extremely accurate monitoring and Extreme ease of installation. Its surprising sound quality makes it the ideal choice for small studios, mobile units and the perfect complement for traveling recording systems and other mobile applications. It has balanced input through XLR connector, and incorporates a 3 "transducer for bass and a tweeter of ¾" for treble. Amplification is carried out by efficient Class D amplifiers (one for each transducer). The 8010 monitor provides much more sound pressure than would be expected in a monitor of its dimensions. Its ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) circuitry saves energy by placing the monitor at rest when the audio signal is absent from its input for a certain period of time. Once the signal is detected again, the monitor is activated automatically. This function can be deactivated, if necessary.
