TUNER PEDAL 'The new Pitchblack X Series tuners allow exclusive selection between our newly developed ULTRA BUFFER (which eliminates sonic degradation in bypass mode), or a TRUE BYPASS mode. Most electric guitars use passive pickups with a high impedance output. When using a cable there is a loss of tone, usually of the high frequencies, after about 6 m (about 18 feet) and this problem becomes worse the longer the cable. A buffer boosts the signal on long cables to prevent loss of tone, keeping it clean and clear, even when the pedal is off.
The ULTRA BUFFER improves sound quality in bypass mode, so you can still maintain audio quality even when using a long cable to connect to the tuner, or when inserting the tuner into a complex effects board. The LED meter also offers bright mode settings for greater visibility. In addition to the enlarged display, more measurement LEDs have been added for greater visibility. The bright mode (brightness) can be set to one of two levels, so you can be sure to see the tuner display even better in situations where visibility is difficult, such as brightly lit stages and bright outdoor environments.
