HYBRID AUDIO INTERFACE (MULTIPLE SYSTEMS) The 1248 audio interface with Thunderbolt provides the industry's highest dynamic range and true console-style mixing with 48 channels and 12 stereo mixing buses. With 66 channels of audio I/O in total (32 inputs and 34 outputs), the 1248 is also compatible with and can be connected via USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. Featuring powerful 32-bit floating point mixing and effects DSP, it includes analog modeling EQ, vintage-gear simulated compression, and classic reverb. It has a huge routing patch that allows the unit to patch inputs to outputs or split inputs to reach multiple destinations. We can use the 1248 as a stand-alone mixer and control absolutely everything from the 1248's innovative web application that runs on your iPad, iPhone, Android tablet or smartphone, and also on any laptop. It is only necessary to have a web browser and there is no need to download any application. We can connect a second MOTU AVB series interface with a simple Ethernet cable in order to add more I/O through the AVB series switch (sold separately). Building in this way an entire AVB audio network with multiple switches acting as nodes and various interfaces connected to them and all with glogbal latency of a few milliseconds, even through long cables in different rooms.
