HAND PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT Helix Bowl. Once again one of the Meinl innovations has arrived: The new Helix Bowl is made up of a steel spiral that is welded to a hemisphere. The Helix Bowl can be hit with a metal ramrod. Moving the instrument produces a deep and resonant wah wah effect similar to that of the MEINL birimbao. Developed in joint work with Bill Saragossa.
