SPECIAL PLATE The Byzance Vintage Smack Stack features three B20 bronze discs with a special shape that creates a distinctive sound effect. The stack can be manipulated by adjusting the tension of the plate holder's wing nut. Increasing the tension produces a crisp attack and short decay ideal for fast accents, while a looser setting produces longer sustain. It works well when combined with a snare for a richer sound, or as a simple alternative to the snare. The discs are 10”, 12” and 14” in size.
