All GXP series keyboards offer the same performance features, great design aesthetics and the same quality of excellent construction than the GXP88 presented last year. This includes the next-generation semi-weighted velocity-sensitive keyboard with after-touch for incredibly expressive performances, the 'Repeat Engine' for creating rhythmic note patterns on the fly, Nektar DAW Integration and Nektarine software.

Nektarine runs as a host for plugins and instruments of any brand, in any VST, AU or AAX compatible DAW or as a standalone application allowing browsing and selection of preset lists from any installed plugin virtual instrument. This way it is very simple to create multiple combined sounds from different instruments and add effects to them from any installed effects plugin. These created patches can be recalled with the push of a button from the front panel of the Impact GXP. Additionally, Nektarine adds virtual master keyboard functionality by allowing the creation of keyboard zones, layers, and more. Combined with Nektarine, Impact GXP offers a totally unique and very powerful feature set for musicians and producers.

To complete a rich 'unbox and play' user experience, all Impact GXP models include Steinberg's Cubase LE Music production software, 5GB of sounds and loops + the full version of Retrologue 2, a Powerful synthesizer-type virtual instrument.
