SUPER ST ELECTRIC GUITAR The Peavey® HP® 2 is built entirely with state-of-the-art technology, while retaining traditional craftsmanship methods and incorporating professional-quality upgrades and many customizations. When a guitar bears the initials of Peavey founder and CEO Hartley Peavey, musicians can only expect an iconic design with their own unique style.

While the aesthetic is classic, the HP 2 undoubtedly stands out with its carved top and off-center asymmetrical body design that offers comfort, proper balance, and maximum playability. Maple was chosen for the top and basswood for the back. We select these hardwoods not only for their natural beauty and weight characteristics, but also for their specific tonal qualities. The cream-colored trim further accentuates and highlights the body shapes.

In the select and exclusive birdseye maple neck and fingerboard, guitarists will find unmatched stability and feel. Double graphite reinforcing bars and an easily accessible adjustable steel torsion bar provide additional strength, as does the contoured neck's bolted and beaded construction. The oil-finished fingerboard is cut from the same piece of wood as the one-piece neck, keeping the color and grain patterns consistent. Low tension lamination also adds greater stability. The HP 2 has a 25 ½ scale length, 22 jumbo frets, and a 15-inch fingerboard radius. The 10-degree tilt-back headstock has a 3+3-pin configuration with Schaller® tuners with pearl buttons.

The construction and electronics of the HP 2 work in perfect harmony. Two custom-wound Peavey humbucking pickups provide optimal output and tonal response. They are made using a two-stage wax dipping process which provides ultra-low noise operation and high resistance to microphonic feedback. The pickups are mounted directly to the body, further reducing feedback at high volume levels and improving response. A Switchcraft® 3-way toggle switch allows pickup selection in up, mid, and down configurations. Guitarists will also find a Peavey/Floyd Rose® licensed double-locking tremolo set to complete this exceptional guitar.
