FUZZ PEDAL The Chthonic Fuzz is a seemingly minimalist, vintage-inspired pedal with impressive versatility and a distinctive voice. The Chthonic Fuzz (pronounced ''thah-nik'' and meaning ''of or relating to the underworld'' creates thick, burly, sludgy fuzz tones designed to pair perfectly with single-coil, P90, gold-foil pickups and DeArmond style. It also works great with PAF-type humbuckers, but Chthonic fuzz was designed with bright, clean guitars and amps in mind.

Starting from a single-knob fuzz circuit from the '70s, a subtle tone control (Lustre) has been added, followed by an independent gain control (Fuzz). The result is a simple but powerful fuzz, with an earthy and dark touch. A pair of 2N2222 transistors allow you to clean up the sound by lowering the volume of the guitar. The Chthonic Fuzz is designed to be first in the signal chain. This will allow you to interact with the guitar's pickups and volume control. The Chthonic's Kraken/Cthulhu graphics come courtesy of the same artist who did the art for the Carcosa Fuzz.

Fuzz Control: This control is used to control the intensity of the fuzz.

Output Control: This control is used to adjust the output level of the pedal.

Luster Control: This control allows you to lower the high frequencies after the main distortion stages of the pedal.
