SINGLE COIL PICKUP Joe Bonamassa first saw the 'Cradle Rock' Strat as a teenager at the Philadelphia Guitar Show in 1994. He bought the then pristine 1963 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst, and it became one of the most sentimental pieces in his collection . Named after the Rory Gallagher song that Joe recorded on his debut album, the pickups on this Strat had a powerful and distinctive sound that he wanted to share with guitarists pursuing this sound. Seymour Duncan Custom Shop designed the period winding, aged the magnets, and color matched the covers until Joe considered these pickups an authentic recreation. Made in the Custom Shop, the Cradle Rock Strat Set is limited to 1,000 units, with Joe's signature printed on each pickup.
