STUDIO MONITOR (ACTIVE) The S3H builds on the successes of ADAM Audio's most popular studio monitors, the S3A and S3X-H, and, like its predecessors, sets new standards in terms of technical innovation and design.

The 7-inch dual bass speakers, each with separate 500 W class D amplifiers, offer perfect reproduction of frequencies up to 32 Hz. The ADAM Audio DCH, a 4-inch hybrid dome / cone controller for the media, is Powered by a Class D amplifier of 300 W and manages audio above 250 Hz and less than 3 kHz, its cutting-edge hybrid design offers the sonic advantages of both cone and soft dome in a single unit of a single piece. The frequencies above 3 kHz are aimed at the innovative combination of the S-ART treble controller (each made by hand at the ADAM Audio factory in Berlin), the new precision HPS waveguide and a class A amplifier / B of 50 W. The result of all this innovation is a beautifully transparent three-dimensional sound landscape, with an extensive sweet spot.

The customized DSP of the S series optimizes cutting frequencies to create linear responses for the entire frequency range, and allows user equalization and adjustment / emission functions in the control room. A unique feature of the S3H DSP options is a built-in EQ preset that emulates the response of the legendary ADAM Audio S3A monitor. The DSP also manages the protection of the treble based on limiters, AES3 digital inputs and, over time, facilitates several expansion options. Software updates can be easily performed through the associated USB port, which also allows users to connect computers and control the DSP functions of the speakers through front-end software.

With its powerful amplification and three-way design (optimally configured for horizontal use), the S3H was conceived as a center-field monitor, but can be used equally well in more compact listening environments. As with all ADAM audio designs, the sound is penetrating but musical, with a crystalline reproduction of the most important mid-range.
